"Believe in yourself. Believe in your capacity to do great and good things. Believe that no mountain is so high that you cannot climb it. Believe that no storm is so great that you cannot weather it. You are not destined to be a scrub. You are a child of God, of infinite capacity. Believe that you can do it - whatever it is that you set your heart on. Opportunities will unfold and open before you. The skies will clear when they have been dark with portent.” – Gordon B. Hinckley

Kind words

"Genuine, friendly, professional."  These were the words that a co-worker of mine used to describe me today from his observations of me a year ago during the interview process.

A group of us had a quick conference call with the BYU MBA students that are coming out next week for their second round interviews.  We were sharing our experiences with them to help them prepare for the interview process next week.  It's hard to believe I was in their shoes just a year ago.

I don't really seek out compliments, but when they are given sincerely it sure does make me feel good!

The power of a compliment and some kind words can really lift our spirits.

Oh, the kind words we give shall in memory live
And sunshine forever impart.
Let us oft speak kind words to each other;
Kind words are sweet tones of the heart.
